Includes cityscapes, street scenes and other views of Martinez, Calif., as well as views of other Contra Costa County locations such as Port Costa, Alhambra Valley (including the railroad trestle, the cemetery and the home of John Muir), Crockett and the California and Hawaiian Sugar Company refinery, Concord, Pittsburg, and the county hospital. Topics depicted in many photographs include buildings, streets, shipping and industry. Includes many scenes of the Contra Costa County waterfront at various locations along the Carquinez Strait. Includes two views of 1906 earthquake damage to buildings in Martinez. Also includes a few views taken in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
